  3. Where have we come from? • Servers • 9 Servers located in Head Office • 1 for each application • All less than 5% utilisation • All recommended specification

  4. Where have we come from? • Desktops (PC’s) • Over 100 located in 13 sites throughout Scotland • Manually configured

  5. Problems... • Server Provision • Server room size constraints • Difficult to maintain satisfactory temperatures • Inability to support growth • High internal and external support costs • High cyclical replacement costs

  6. Problems... • Desktop Provision • Increasingly difficult and expensive to maintain as Association grows • High internal and external support costs • Limited centralised control • Inability to deliver IT consistently to all sites • High cyclical replacement costs
