  • Given post 1950 growth and travel trends, more

  • new roads will be needed even with:

    • Planned roads

    • Adding lanes to existing roads

    • 10-15% of travel absorbed by mass transit

    • Bike lanes and paths

  • New North-South corridor will be needed by 2020

  • Continued growth = more congestion & travel time
