  1. FINDING LOVE AFTER HIV DIAGNOSIS Before I lost my job, a dear friend of mine told me about a gay meeting in UK. Of course, when I first decided to join (before my previous life ended), I wanted to find sex and love at the event. However, after my HIV diagnosis, it didn't seem like a good idea (plus I needed to save what little money I had left). I told my friend and he convinced me to join anyway. He told me that when he joined the meeting the year before, he met some HIV-positive gay men. You'd be surprised to see a lot of HIV Positive men at the event or pubs." They're not young anymore, but boy, are they healthy and handsome,” he added with a smile. When I told him about my financial difficulties, he told me that I could apply for financing. It seems the Universe really wanted me to join the meeting and who am I to say no?

  2. So I went on the date...not to find love, but to be inspired. Meeting those HIV- positive gay men (some of whom were diagnosed during the first outbreak in the United States in the 1980s) would certainly boost my confidence. And he did. What I didn't expect was: when I decided to stop looking for love, it was love that found me. So there I was, on the ferry, sailing from Phuket to the island smiling while sunbathing when, this boy, with a smile that (until now) made me feel like a little kid We hit it off immediately. Guys, it was like a teenage dream. That night, we walked on the moonlit beach and kissed for the first time. When he wanted to take things to the next level of life, I opened up to him. Before we go any further things, I have to tell you something. I took a deep breath and said, "I'm HIV positive." I thought he was going to back off. I thought it would stop. Instead, he just said, “Thanks for telling me. That was very mature of you.'' You see, kids, my boyfriend was negative. But he was well educated about the HIV virus and He doesn't care about the virus. He cares about me. After spending so many times thinking I'd never get a boyfriend, let alone get married, in part because I'm HIV positive, I finally found a loving and caring partner. I often get questions like… "Does your boyfriend know you're HIV positive?" "Is your boyfriend HIV positive?" "So how do you know? Well, as I said in the article, he knows about my HIV status because I told him from the beginning. No, he is not HIV positive. As for how we do it, we do it like everyone else. Yes, we have to be more careful, but that doesn't mean it's not so beautiful.

  3. Because unlike my previous life when I was screwing all those guys, with him, I'm not screwing around: I'm making love (okay, that might sound awkward). when two people really want to be with spend life each other, they will always find a way to make it work. He lives abroad, so that's another challenge. He's American, so that's another challenge but we always find a best ways to make it work We have been living together for almost two years and guess what we proposed last week. Children, I am not saying that I will live happily with him, nor am I saying that my life is easier now. However, I can say that both my fiance and I are rich in love and that's what matters. HIV treatment keeps the hiv virus at bay, but her love, for me, is the ultimate medicine.
