  1. Dental Health be the Reason of Heart Attack? By Dentzz

  2. A lot of research today has found that there is a connection between dental health and overall health.

  3. People who suffer from moderate or advanced periodontal disease (gum) have a greater chance to develop heart problems. The major risk factors for gum problems are the same for heart problems that is high use of tobacco, diabetes and improper nutrition. Therefore, those who suffer from dental problems are at a higher risk for heart attacks.

  4. Let us now look at how gum diseases are caused. • One of the major causes of heart disease is when the infection through the bacteria in the plaque enters the bloodstream and causes clots that can become lethal. • Even the inflammation caused by gum disease can very often increase the incidence of clots.  • These clots cause a reduction in the blood flow to the heart, increase blood pressure and thus trigger a heart attack.

  5.  Bad breath or a bad taste in the mouth and loose teeth are all indicators of gum problems. •  If left untreated, this can become life threatening. When treated on time, the effects of gum disease are often reversible and through proper care and a good and healthy diet, gum problems are easy to prevent.
