  1. Thinking web sites What would happen if… Let's use the possibilities www.ideo.pl Łukasz Szymański - marketing consultant | WEB 3.0 - New Standards| 18.10.2011

  2. PRESENTATION PLAN A thinking website, what is it exactly? What limits us? We have technology - let's build a house www.ideo.pl Łukasz Szymański - marketing consultant | WEB 3.0 - New Standards| 18.10.2011

  3. A thinking website, what is it exactly? “...children learn through observation and imitation. The child who observes us, wants to imitate us …” “…by observing, children learn not only to discover the world, but they also take over our attitudes. If parents are not active in getting to know the world - they do not show any interest - the attitude of their children will be similar…” “If parents are active and show interest in the world, in new things, their child is more likely to copy this approach to life.” www.ideo.pl Łukasz Szymański - marketing consultant | WEB 3.0 - New Standards| 18.10.2011

  4. Ideas are not born alone If we do not teach them something, they will not be able to do it later… www.ideo.pl Łukasz Szymański - marketing consultant | WEB 3.0 - New Standards| 18.10.2011

  5. A thinking website, what is it exactly? Web 2.0 was not a new technology, but the way of use of the already available one. Maybe web 3.0 is analogous and all it takes is to 'teach our services to think' by using available components and technologies. www.ideo.pl Łukasz Szymański - marketing consultant | WEB 3.0 - New Standards| 18.10.2011

  6. Thinking web site or what? What can we use? ●More powerful programming languages ●Powerful servers ●Geolocation / geotargeting systems ●Mobile solutions / mobile apps ●Behavioral targeting (not just for advertising) ●Semantic search ●Expert systems www.ideo.pl Łukasz Szymański - marketing consultant | WEB 3.0 - New Standards| 18.10.2011

  7. What limits us? Public administration ●Web 1.0 we have an email address ●Web 2.0 We reply to email messages from customers ●Web 3.0 we reply to email messages the same day www.ideo.pl Łukasz Szymański - marketing consultant | WEB 3.0 - New Standards| 18.10.2011

  8. Thinking web site or what?

  9. What limits us? What factors can limit us? ●Maybe we have other habits Or we are bound by procedures ●Maybe we don’t want to do it or it doesn’t suit somebody ●Maybe in the end customers don’t want to pay for it Yes, yes - it is more expensive, but maybe worth it? ●Maybe customers do not see the benefits "If you cannot see the difference, then why overpay?" www.ideo.pl Łukasz Szymański - marketing consultant | WEB 3.0 - New Standards| 18.10.2011

  10. If we have technology, so... Let's build a house www.ideo.pl Łukasz Szymański - marketing consultant | WEB 3.0 - New Standards| 18.10.2011

  11. Finding a plot of land is a tedious process Let's do it "by the way" www.ideo.pl Łukasz Szymański - marketing consultant | WEB 3.0 - New Standards| 18.10.2011

  12. How easy to buy a plot? I am on a trip, I see a nice plot of land with a ‘for sale’ sign. Hm… maybe even without a sign, because not everyone puts it A mobile phone with internet access + geolocation + combination=? ●Information about the plot of land ●Info whether the land is for sale ●Information about the seller / neighbors ●Mortgage information ●How long does the owner has it? ●Zoning plan www.ideo.pl Łukasz Szymański - marketing consultant | WEB 3.0 - New Standards| 18.10.2011

  13. How easy to buy a plot? I like to browse the advertising services, because thanks to that I know where the nice plot lands are, what are the prices, where people decide to build something. So I'm going to visit the places I am interested in to see what plot lands are available. My GPS is integrated with the classified ads database, so I have all plot lands that are for sale marked www.ideo.pl Łukasz Szymański - marketing consultant | WEB 3.0 - New Standards| 18.10.2011

  14. How easy to buy a plot? I found an interesting land in the classified service What would I like to check before I make an appointment with the seller? ●Information about the plot land ●Information about the seller ●Mortgage ●Zoning plan ●How long does the owner has it? ●Weather conditions - maybe the plot land has been flooded in the last few years www.ideo.pl Łukasz Szymański - marketing consultant | WEB 3.0 - New Standards| 18.10.2011

  15. What house will we build? A few nice projects www.ideo.pl Łukasz Szymański - marketing consultant | WEB 3.0 - New Standards| 18.10.2011

  16. What house will we build? I'm on a trip, I went for a walk... never mind I saw a house I liked I'm taking a picture, and the system is looking for similar houses - maybe I'll get this exact same project, but is it important? SO far, I like the style (I don’t see its interior). I have a geolocation system, and database has all the houses from the same project. Thanks to that I see this particular project with information whether the owner agreed to present it. www.ideo.pl Łukasz Szymański - marketing consultant | WEB 3.0 - New Standards| 18.10.2011

  17. What house will we build? Maybe I'm interested in other information as well ●List of people willing to show their house in return for a bottle of wine or donuts to coffee, over which you can discuss the house ●List of developers who offer this house, along with customer reviews ●List of construction managers who managed the construction of houses according to this project, with the reviews ●Access to the photo database the visuals are cool, but the real pictures are better www.ideo.pl Łukasz Szymański - marketing consultant | WEB 3.0 - New Standards| 18.10.2011

  18. What house will we build? When I browse websites with house designs ●I'm watching ground floor designs Only they are displayed ●I'm looking for designs with space under 140 m2 Only they are displayed ●I am looking at energy-efficient homes so the system displays them ●I am looking at designs in a particular style the system knows it, remembers it and displays them www.ideo.pl Łukasz Szymański - marketing consultant | WEB 3.0 - New Standards| 18.10.2011

  19. What house will we build? What If I wanted to look for the "graphic" house plans I find the designing tool, but it's not exactly what I want ●I lay out the specific shapes of the rooms ●I determine the size of each one ●Other rooms adjust themselves to the main rooms ●I get the results exactly as I want The house plan I created does not exist in a database? No worries I have just designed my house. I get a list of architects in my area who are willing to finalize it www.ideo.pl Łukasz Szymański - marketing consultant | WEB 3.0 - New Standards| 18.10.2011

  20. What house will we build? We have already selected the design Our construction website is changing to provide us with information related to the chosen design ●The design and any modifications that someone made ●Comments / opinions of people who have already built a house (investors and contractors) ●Database of pictures / films showing real houses ●List of houses in our area built according to this design ●List of contractors who carried out this design (with ratings / comments) ●Real construction quotes from investors ●Real heating costs, etc. (It is significant when you try to decide what type of heating you want) www.ideo.pl Łukasz Szymański - marketing consultant | WEB 3.0 - New Standards| 18.10.2011

  21. Formalities www.ideo.pl Łukasz Szymański - marketing consultant | WEB 3.0 - New Standards| 18.10.2011

  22. Formalities In order for the construction to be done in accordance with the law, just so the house would not have to be demolished, certain formalities need to be completed. How should I know when to do these things? The website where I bought the design will be my “guide” ☺ ☺ It will suggest: - when to start certain formalities? - what can I do simultaneously? - what extra activities can I undertake? (maybe I would like to have a nice lawn, but I am not sure when to proceed with the preparations) - when to contact a construction crew? (probably the most popular ones have a waiting list) www.ideo.pl Łukasz Szymański - marketing consultant | WEB 3.0 - New Standards| 18.10.2011

  23. Formalities Why should I wait? Why do I have to go to the offices, run errands, waste my time, get upset? Why the whole process of obtaining all permits takes sometimes even 2 years? Agreement to some modifications – I am aware that some decisions have to made, but why the delivery of important documents takes sometimes 2 weeks? Maybe it would be faster if I sent them by email / via form? Maps? Someone has already drawn them. Maybe the system could generate pdf by itself? Could maps on Google Maps be verified? www.ideo.pl Łukasz Szymański - marketing consultant | WEB 3.0 - New Standards| 18.10.2011

  24. Formalities Local spatial planning? Decision about building conditions? These are public documents and accessible to anyone who will apply. Why protecting and making the access to them more difficult? After all, they could be available at an online store. Gas, water, electricity available at my country house? I am sending an application with attachments. Does it really have to be a paper version? Can I deliver these documents when the decision has been made? I can also leave signatures on documents. Do I have to pay a fee? I would even like to pay more if I did not have to: - visit the offices, - wait, - waste time, - get upset... www.ideo.pl Łukasz Szymański - marketing consultant | WEB 3.0 - New Standards| 18.10.2011

  25. So what's the problem? Why can’t we do that? www.ideo.pl Łukasz Szymański - marketing consultant | WEB 3.0 - New Standards| 18.10.2011

  26. What limits us? What factors limit us? ●Maybe we have other habits Or we are bound by procedures ●Maybe we do not want to change anything Because it makes us so comfortable ●Maybe customers do not want to pay for it Yes, it is more expensive, but maybe worth it? ●Because they do not see the benefits “If you can’t see the difference, then why overpay?...” www.ideo.pl Łukasz Szymański - marketing consultant | WEB 3.0 - New Standards| 18.10.2011
