In most cases, the interviewer will gladly allow you some time to think it over. You can also buy some time by asking the interviewer to collect your thoughts about this question and answer it at the end of the interview.
Should You worry About Unanswered Question? More often than not, most jobs don’t require you to be an all-knowing candidate. If you approach the dreadful question with honesty and professionalism, you have absolutely nothing to worry about. You only need to worry if the question was a basic one that you should have known. It shows signs of being unprepared and unqualified for the job. If it was just one of the million other things you should know, then it’s not something you should sweat over.
