  1. How Supplemental Materials Help In Teaching English? While every country has its native language, they all use a foreign language in majority. English has emerged as one of the most popular and widely spoken languages across the world. In fact, many countries have English as a second language (ESL), and those that don’t have are discussing and putting in into practice. English is a language that is spoken everywhere, and therefore, it has emerged as a global language. People all over the world have at least a little knowledge of English, which makes traveling and business easier globally. When it comes to the teaching of English as a foreign language, there are certain components that play an essential role, such as: socio cultural components, methodological components, and bibliographical components. Teachers or educators cannot simply work alone to make the teaching-learning process happen. They rely heavily on teaching-learning tools that can help them achieve desired outcomes. These teaching-learning aids are often known as supplementary materials. Therefore, teachers often use ESL supplemental materials to engage kids and anticipate better educational outcomes. These supplementary materials may include audio components, visual aids, audiovisual, and other interesting elements to teach the language in an effective way. Learning sometimes becomes boring to students and they start feeling distracted. In regular curriculum and textbook kind of learning, it is a common phenomenon. In that case, teachers need help to excite students. For that matter, teachers must also feel excited while teaching important lessons. The use of supplemental materials makes it happen. It helps students learn textbook information in a completely different way. With textbook based information, students often feel restricted. It doesn’t allow them to move information off of the page and apply that in real life. This is where supplemental materials come into play. In fact, a teacher’s ability to teaching students also gets restricted when only textbooks are relied on. What actually help students learn are materials and activities that ask them to move beyond textbooks and learn through experience. Also, the additional materials offer teachers useful resources that will engage students in an effective way. Using ESL supplemental materials is essential because they contribute significantly in the process of learning. English being a foreign language pose difficulties for non-native speakers to acquire it. For effective learning, it becomes important to engage learners cognitively so that they can learn the language and retain it well. Supplementary materials activate learning and help retain information that makes learning the language easier. Source Url- https://bit.ly/3v9gQ2U
