  1. 5 TIPS FOR SELECTING THE BEST PACKAGE OF CHICKEN With so many brands offering packaged chicken, sometimes it becomes hard to choose the best one. From the chicken keema mince, boneless chicken breast, wings, and thighs, there are ample of options you can choose from according to your needs. However, you might have a lot of questions about how to choose a chicken. Should you go for organic FDA approved? How to interpret the label on the package? How to check the quality of the chicken? And so on. This blog will address your queries by laying down 5 tips that you must follow to buy any type of chicken. 1. Check the expiry date Do not forget to check the “best by” date on the label. Choose the chicken with an expiry date at least a week ahead. Read the label thoroughly to understand the best by date and the manufacturing date. Since most people refrigerate chicken after buying, it is imperative to check the expiry date. Failing to check the expiry rate might increase the probability of getting infected by an expired chicken. 2. Check the chicken hue The chicken hue will show the quality of the chicken. A chicken is fresh if the hue is pinkish. On the other hand, if the hue is dull gray, then the quality of the meat is low. No matter what chicken you buy, be certain of the hue. Always go for a pinkish hue and avoid choosing a chicken with a gray hue. 3. Go for certified organic chicken Organic chicken requires several strict tests to acquire an organic certification. Go for the organic chicken to escape from toxic synthetic pesticides and injected chemicals. The fee to get organically certified by USDA is quite higher. That is why most organic chicken costs more than an inorganic one. It is the healthier choice you can make for yourself and your family. 4. Check whether the chicken was raised without Antibiotic When you check the label you can find two different types of antibiotic labeling. One is “raised without antibiotics” and the other is “antibiotic-free”. Go for the one which has been “raised without antibiotics” because this assures that the chicken was never raised using any antibiotics throughout its lifetime.

  2. 5. Choose a Grade A Fresh chicken When examining the label, you might have found something like “USDA A, B, and C”. Among these, choose the Fresh chicken that is certified as Grade A. Grade A chicken means that it has zero deformities, comes with thick flesh, and has a generous layer of fat. This also ensures that the chicken is free from any feathers, hairs, cuts, or tears in the skin. Other grades like B and C have a notable number of deformities and other issues. Grade A is comparatively higher in cost due to its features. Original Source - https://www.halalbox.in/best-package-of-chicken-bg
