  1. Promoting Healthy Activities and Exercising with Your Children Exercise and physical activity is important to everyone’s health and wellbeing. With that in mind, there are some great ways to promote physical activity with your children. It not only helps them maintain a healthy life, but also lets you spend quality time as a family. Below are some great ideas to promote movement and fun in one package. The Playground Play areas are a fantastic way to spend time with your children while allowing them to exercise. It allows them to use important muscles in their body and maintain strength and stability. While this may not provide much exercise for you, you can spin them on the wheel, push them on the swing, and even take them for a walk. The Park Area parks also provide muscular movement and dexterity. Taking hikes through the woods, walking the hilly land to the lake, playing on the park swing, and simply running around in the cookout area are great ways to promote healthy action. For you, the walking is good as well and you could even run around for a bit to increase endurance in your legs, ankles, feet and heart. Bike Riding Riding a bike promotes endurance, stamina, and healthy respiratory action. Letting your kids ride their bike in a park, on a trail, or even down the road promotes those healthy elements. For older kids, you can ride your bike too and exercise those ligaments and your heart to keep the stamina strong. You will burn some calories too!

  2. Dancing Kids love to dance. It is fun, exciting, promotes healthy emotions, and increases social abilities. Consider having a dance night every week with the kids and let them swing, twist, and bend to promote flexibility, stamina, and feel good emotions. For you, it promotes muscle flexibility, burns calories, increases stamina, and supports a healthier heart. Jump Rope Fun Exercising with a jump rope is great for any age. It offers improved dexterity and flexibility, promotes healthy muscular movement, increases heart health, and improves focus levels. Gather everyone for a jump rope party and let the fun begin. The kids will have fun while getting their exercise and you will feel better, relieve stress, and burn that energy. Fun Parks Fun parks are a great way for kids to let their energy burn away. This is not referring to amusement parks with rides, but is about indoor parks with water slides, tree houses, ball pits, climbing tunnels, etc. These types of places let the kids exercise various muscles that are required to run, climb, crawl, hang, bend, etc. For you, it does not provide much exercise other than chasing them around, but you still get the gratification of promoting a healthy activity for your children. Sometimes, the fun parks offer outdoor activities that you can also participate in, such as shuffleboard, miniature golf, go carts, obstacle courses, etc. Although those events don’t provide much for you, they keep the motion and flexibility going.
