  1. Auditory Processing Disorder: What is it? Central auditory processing disorder and just plain APD are other names for auditory processing disorder. It affects a person's capacity to interpret and comprehend sounds internally. Hearing loss is not a problem of auditory processing. APD sufferers typically have normal hearing, but they have trouble processing sound. People with auditory processing disorders frequently struggle in four areas: differentiating between sounds, concentrating on particular sounds, memorising information given orally, and understanding and recalling word sequences. Other disorders, such as Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) and APD disorder, can coexist.

  2. Young children are most frequently diagnosed with auditory processing disorder. It's critical for parents, guardians, and those working in the education system to comprehend what auditory processing disorder is because it affects 3-5% of school-aged children. What influences its development? What typical symptoms are present? And how can it be handled and controlled to support the development of our kids? You can schedule a hearing test and an auditory processing disorder test with Attune if you think your child could have APD or another hearing problem. Your children's hearing will be tested by our licensed audiologists, who will also provide a diagnosis and possible treatments. Click here to know about ADHD & auditory processing disorder.
