I want to be clear that this is a pro-recovery blog. This blog is also for loved ones of people who battle anorexia and other eating disorders, professionals, supporters and anyone affected by an eating disorder. My blog will help give you information, support and guidance during this process. My blog will also give you access to the best websites, books and other blogs that can help you in your recovery journey. I was enslaved to my eating disorder for over 25 years and I was able to break free. It felt impossible. I felt hopeless. I lived a truly miserable existence when I was sick. I was ravaged by my mind and a prisoner to my body. Recovery is easily the hardest thing I have ever faced. It is also what I am most proud. Respect your recovery. Choose to battle it each day. I am a happy woman. I am a strong woman. I am a determined woman. I focus on using my skills daily to recover from anorexia and to fight off the self-destructive thoughts in my head. Currently I am writing a book. The working title is “Fulfilled: Recovering from and Living a Full Life after Anorexia.” As I go through the writing process it is clear that I want to share what helps me to recover with you right now. I am not going to wait to see if my book gets published, I am going to write today. You are in the right place. You are not alone.
