GAL Power Systems highlights some of the work we did for Uptime Institute in this new video. We were faced with installing 9 x 850 KW COP in Toronto, as well as additional 4 x 850 KW COP in London, 3 x 850 KW COP in Edmonton, 4 x 650 KW COP in Ottawa, and 1 x 1000 KW in Ottawa. <br>The project was designed and constructed in just 11 months, requiring strict planning and project management to meet Uptime Institute's standards for redundancy and concurrent maintainability. Our testing focused on emergency power transfers at full load and multiple other scenarios that could impact availability of the Data Centre. <br>Our client was pleased with the design quality that we accomplished in such a short period thanks to our careful orchestration of multiple engineering disciplines and an ongoing commitment to quality throughout the design implementation process. SOLUTION This project meets the requirements established by the Uptime Institute for redundancy and concurrent maintainability. All equipment required significant testing for uninterrupted operation during maintenance activities. This included generators, uninterrupted power supply systems, static transfer switches and computer room air conditioners. The testing focused on emergency power transfers at full load, and multiple scenarios which may impact the availability of the Data Centre. Knowledge is Power…. Never be Powerless
