  2. המממ... מיהו עמוד התפרחת הינוקא המסתורי הזה? והנה לכם רמז – מכאן הוא בוקע... Here’s a clue – it rises from this bulb... Who is this mysterious flower-stem ?

  3. כן כן, הוא קורא תגר על החמסינים של סוף הקיץ, ובשיאו של היובש שולח את פרחיו הלבנים על עמודי תפרחת נישאים. החצב ! Yep – challenging the heat waves of summer end, it sends its whitish flowers up high. The one and only – the Squill !

  4. ולחוף ים אחר (הים התיכון הפעם), פורחת לה בפרחים ענקיים - חבצלת החוף. The large flowers of the Sea Daffodil are in blossom on the coasts of the Mediterranean Sea

  5. לאו דווקא מבשר סתיו, אבל ניתן כבוד לשכן הצהבהב של החבצלת, שפותח את פרחיו בשעת השקיעה – נר הלילה החופי. At twilight time, by the sea, the Evening Primrose (also known as Rampion) opens its yellowish flowers

  6. ונישאר בענייני צהובים, והפעם – בנגב. אז מי כאן "צהוב עולה“?? Who are these lovely yellow creatures ??

  13. וזהו אח קטן לחצב ששמו בן-חצב סתוני, וכל גובהו כ-10 ס"מ The Autumnal Squill – only 10 cms high

  14. והנה חיננית הבתה החיננית The lovely Southern Daisy

  15. כן, ניחשתם יפה, אלה הם הנרקיסים This majestic one is called Narcissus

  16. לא די בכך שהוא עטור כתר מלכותי, ריחו ראוי למלכה... Not only does it wear a crown, it’s perfume is worthy of a queen !
