  1. WHAT’S THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN COLD BREW COFFEE AND ICE COFFEE?

  2. During those hot summer days, words like cold and iced coffee provide more relief than anything else. But, do you know very often people think that these two are the same. However, that’s not the case there are many differences between these two. Let’s start with the very basic difference between the two. 3. Cold brew coffee:- There is absolutely no heat involved while making cold brew coffee. But, the amount of caffeine present in cold coffee is twice the amount of caffeine present in normal coffee. The reason cold brew coffee has a huge fan base is that the taste of cold coffee is very smooth, much more chocolate than the other kinds of brews, and the bitterness involved is much less. Iced Coffee:- This one is always brewed hot and is served after adding ice cubes to it. The making is very simple. It’s just adding ice to simple regular coffee. The iced coffee is quite aromatic, but the consistency of the iced coffee is thin, and it further becomes thinner as the ice starts to melt. 4. WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE IN THEIR BREWING METHOD? The key difference between iced coffee and cold brew coffee is how they are brewed. So, to begin with, let’s see how cold brew coffee is made. Cold Brew:- Cold brew coffee is made by steeping coarse coffee grounds in cold water for approximately 12-24 hrs. Iced Coffee:- This one is exactly how the name sounds. You just have to add ice cubes to your normal coffee. You can employ any brewing method to get this kind of coffee. However, you do have a choice in the second stage which is either you can refrigerate the coffee for 20-30 minutes, or you can simply add ice cubes to the coffee. 5. TIME The flavour in the coffee comes from the coffee beans. And, this method of obtaining the flavour from the coffee beans is called extraction. During this particular flavour, time plays a very important role. This is because different coffee flavours are extracted at different time intervals. Therefore, during the entire extraction cycle in coffee, time plays a very critical role. Source: What’s The Difference Between Cold Brew Coffee And Ice Coffee?

  6. TEMPERATURE:- The temperature of the water, which is being used in the preparation of coffee, plays a very important role. The thumb rule here is that the hotness of the water is directly proportional to the taste of the coffee. So, the extreme the temperature of the water is, the better the taste. This is because when you use hot water for making coffee, the coffee grounds are absorbed in a better way and hence you get a great cup of cold brew coffee and iced coffee. In the case of cold brew coffee, you need to use either cold brew or room temperature and in the case of iced coffee, you will always need hot water for best results.
