Different Positions of Your Baby in the Womb https://www.drelsa.net/ Different Positions of Your Baby in the Womb 1 Anterior Anterior is a position in which the baby is positioned head down facing your back and the chin is tucked into their chest with the head ready to enter the pelvis. 2 Posterior Generally referred to as the occipito-posterior position, in which the baby is facing head down and their face is positioned towards the stomach. 3 Breech Under the breech birth position, the baby is positioned with their buttocks or feet first. The breech position is said to be not at all ideal for delivery. 4 Transverse lie An extremely rare position in which the baby is lying horizontally in the uterus.
