Great Options for the Dust Mite Protection

The number of people with eczema and cara in the Netherlands continues to rise every year. House dust mites are increasingly being referred to for the cause. Just like the number of complaints, this animal is on the rise in our country. Various studies also clearly show the relationship between the two.

House dust mites are increasingly being referred to for the cause. Just like the number of complaints, this animal is on the rise in our country. Various studies also clearly show the relationship between the two. Allergy usually develops at childhood and usually develops until after puberty. Nowadays, a harmful concentration of dust mites is present in four of the five houses. So it's time to start the attack against dust mites as quickly as possible. A number of simple measures make it possible to prevent and control dust mites in a natural way. What is a dust mite? The house dust mite is a small eight-legged arachnid animal. It is very small (0.3 mm), much smaller than a flea , and therefore not visible to the naked eye. If you see it greatly magnified, you are almost horrified by the idea that your entire house is full of these ugly critters. The house dust mite likes a moist and warm environment. The house dust mite feels most comfortable in a damp carpet, on moldy walls, in your pillow, mattress and in the cuddly toys of the children. It develops best at a humidity of 75-80% and a temperature of 25 degrees. House dust mites mainly feed on human dander, but pollen, bacteria, fungi and animal hair are also on the menu. Food is therefore abundant in our houses. The development of the number of house dust mites follows a seasonal pattern. The number of animals is the lowest in winter (due to heating the driest in the house) and reaches a maximum at the end of the summer and in the fall. Regarding the Dust mite protection this is important here. Dust mites and allergies People can develop an allergy to house dust mites. In most cases, this allergy is not caused by the animal itself, but by a substance (allergen) in its excrement. This allergen is produced in the intestinal tract of the house dust mite. These dried-up excrements with allergens are then inhaled by people, which can cause all kinds of complaints. Common symptoms include cough, asthma, eczema, sneezing and watery eyes. Dust mites like to be in bed, so allergic reactions are often the worst at night.

  2. Attack plan: cleaning and ventilation But how can you control and remove dust mites in a natural way? Completely eradicating dust mites is often not possible, but also not necessary. It is necessary to keep them under control in order to prevent all kinds of complaints. The attack strategy is to prevent dusty (such as skin flakes) and damp spots in the house as much as possible, especially the combination of both is disastrous. Dust removal is the most important when cleaning. Try to eradicate the number of dust nests as much as possible and clean with a damp cloth.
