  1. Consuming antioxidants in foods and tablets is a better way to go about life! Our body is constantly coming in contact with some form of virus or antigens that could potentially harm or slow the way we function on a daily basis. Antioxidants, to the best of their abilities, slow down the process of free radicals and unstable molecules that damage our cells. One can consume antioxidants in essentially two ways - naturally and artificially. Abundant antioxidants come from plant-based food, them being the natural source. Artificial sources like a tablet or an antioxidant capsule can be consumed as per doctor’s advice. Natural ways: Dark Chocolate: Dark chocolate is different in taste compared to the other types of chocolate. This is because it has more cocoa than others and thus, has more antioxidants. The health benefits resulting from consuming dark chocolate are extremely qualitative. Not just that, it also acts as an immunity booster and benefits the body’s overall well-being. Blueberries: Blueberries are abundant in nutrients and antioxidants. In the family of fruits, blueberries are packed with the highest amount of antioxidants. They work on reducing inflammation in the body and aside from that also help delay the decline of the brain’s functionality. Beans Kidney beans fall in the family of legumes. They are one of the most accessible and affordable ingredients out there. Certain kinds of beans contain a particular antioxidant called kaempferol which works on reducing the risks of cancer and other chronic diseases. It is one of the most versatile antioxidants and is only found in some foods along with pinto beans. Beetroot They are from a family of roots that are the source of a lot of antioxidants. The antioxidants in beetroot are known as betalains that give the beetroot its color. It suppresses any kind of inflammation in the body. Artificial sources: Antioxidants tablets These can be prescribed to you by your doctor in case you are experiencing symptoms of vitamin deficiency or if you are pregnant or if you have a certain kind of illness. Usually these tablets are prescribed for immediate effects on the body. While it is an option to consume an antioxidant capsule or tablet, it is also advised to keep diet in check. To consume a meal that is rich in all food groups is one thing one should keep in mind for their own overall well-being. Antioxidants work on reducing any kind of inflammation in the

  2. body. One can consume artificial and natural sources of antioxidants simultaneously provided they are consulting a doctor for the same. Natural sources are available in abundance around us. It is important to keep in check what one puts in their bodies. Most vegetables that have antioxidants in them also have various other nutrients and minerals that have an advantageous effect on the body. Artificial sources can be available in your doctor’s clinic or a pharmacy or medical store. A store may ask for a doctor’s note if the medicine or tablet you are trying to purchase is not over the counter.
