  1. 6 Things To Consider Before You Invest In A Robotic Process Automation Many businesses are trying to grow their competitive advantage by automating monotonous and repetitive tasks. It has been argued that automating these tasks help businesses to focus on core competencies. This is where Robotic Process Automation (RPA) comes in. RPA is the use of uninterruptible software for certain tasks that were formerly performed by humans. RPA frees your labor for other prominent activities. Once you decide to invest in RPA Robotic Process Automation, you must invest in one that suits the demands of your business. It is essential to consider the following things before you invest in RPA. 1. The selection of RPA tool is not as important as you think If you are starting out with an RPA Robotic Process Automation, the tool itself is not important. What should be considered is the methodology that the tool uses and the guidance it provides for users in the selection of the processes to automate. It is recommended that you select a tool and then you experiment the tool. When you understand RPA better, you can then focus on tool selection. 2. Which businesses should consider RPA? It is important to know if RPA is actually good for your business. RPA is the best fit for businesses with at least two people doing repetitive tasks. Rod Dunlap, the Senior Director of RPA for Insurance at Capgemini explained that when a task is performed by two people is automated; the business will see a Return On Investment (ROI) in 3 years. The results are manifested even earlier if the company automates the tasks of several workers. 3. Speed of Deployment Your business also needs to consider the speed at which you will move RPA in the business. Some firms do it gradually while others implement it throughout their business so as to realize the ROI faster. 4. You can automate processes that can be partially completed by a bot

  2. Businesses are afraid to automate processes that cannot be completed by a bot. It is, however, important to know that you can successfully create a Build, Operate, Transfer, mechanism and make impressive gains. 5. Timeframe for training If you are going to implement RPA in your business it is essential to train people who are going to be directly involved with the processes that will be automated. You will need to consider the time frame for the training. Some will require a short period depending on the involvement of the workers. 6. Projected performance of the RPA The business must assess the projected performance of the RPA solutions given the prevailing environment and conditions. Since businesses already have a target, the projected performance should be compared to the targeted performance to see if there is a significant difference and how it can be improved. Learn more.
