  2. Hardware Setup Unboxing the printer: Unpack the box and remove the HP Envy Pro 6458 Setup documents, power cord, and ink cartridges from the package. Slowly pull the printer out of the pack. Remove the foam packing material from both sides of the printer. Next, uncover the printer from the plastic bag. Discard the blue protective tapes around the HP ENVY Pro 6458 printer. Next, open the ink cartridge access door of the printer and remove the protective tapes. Open the scanner lid and discard the foam sheet from the scanner glass. Connecting the power cord: Plug the power cord to the rear of the printer and the other end into an electrical outlet. The printer will now turn on automatically. Now, a purple light will flash at the center of the printer. Loading the paper: First, you need to pull out the input tray from the HP Envy Pro 6458 Setup. Next, slide the paper width guide as far as possible. Next, insert the sheets into the paper tray and adjust the paper width guide until it stops on the edge of the stack. Avoid loading the sheets above the load limit mark. Close the input tray.

  3. HP ENVY PRO 6458 WIFI SETUP Press and hold the Wireless and Power buttons together for at least three seconds on your HP ENVY 6458 printer to begin the WPS push button method. On the router, press the WPS button. The outside edges of the light bar will glow in purple once the printer is connected to the Wi-Fi network. If your router does not support the WPS push button, follow the below instructions to use the PIN method. Press and hold the Information button on your printer until the light blinks on all the control panel buttons on your printer. Next, press and hold the Information and Down arrow buttons together for five seconds on your HP ENVY Pro 6458 printer to begin the WPS PIN method and print a page with the PIN code. Now, the outside edges of the light bar will glow purple on your printer. Next, open the configuration utility or the software of your wireless router or wireless access point and enter the WPS PIN. Now, wait for connecting your printer to the wireless network. When the printer is connected successfully, the light bar will glow white in the center of your printer.
