  2. About the CD • Covers all 7 Crossroads of America Council camps • 24 Indiana State Parks • 9 Indiana State Reservoirs • 17 Indiana Trails • Safe hiking and camping tips • “Leave No Trace”

  3. Opening the document • It is a Microsoft Word document • Simply insert the CD into your CD-Rom drive • It will load in a few seconds and a box will pop up • Double click on the icon that says “Where To Go Camping”

  4. Or • Click on My Computer • An icon should appear in the shape of a CD that is named “Where To Go Camping” • Double Click on that icon

  5. Information in WTGC • Detailed information on all of the council camps, state parks, and reservoirs • Address and phone number of locations • Detailed outline of the facilities • Map of Indiana and popular trail locations • Address and phone number of locations

  6. What should happen? • Distribute to all chapter, Lodge officers, and adult advisors • They share, copy and distribute the CD and the information on it • All chapter officers • Especially the Chapter Vice Chief of Programs • Troops • OA Troop Reps. • Council Executives • District Executives

  7. Continued • Review the information given • PUT IT TO USE!!! • Add things • Camping areas, trails, lakes • It could be a Troops favorite trail or campground • Submit all changes back to Lodge V.C. Program • Make the changes as needed

  8. How can it be used? • Camp promotions • Chapters make copies and give out to troops as part of camp promotions • Can show the OA’s direct connection with camping • Hopefully give ideas for new outing locations • Open new doors between OA and the Troop • Give the OA Troop Rep. a job

  9. What will the future hold? • Issue a new copy of the “Where To Go Camping” CD every year • Document growth and development • Expand on information • Higher attendance rates of OA Troop Reps. at chapter meetings
