  2. The Battle of Gettysburg The Battle of Gettysburg lasted for three hot summer days from July 1st to 3rd in 1863.

  3. The Battle of Gettysburg The battle took place in the free state of Pennsylvania.

  4. The Battle of Gettysburg The general of the Union was George G. Meade. The general of the Confederacy was Robert E. Lee.

  5. The Battle of Gettysburg General Lee decided to take his army up north for food and supplies. He also wanted to take the war unto Northern grounds.

  6. The Battle of Gettysburg This battle was the bloodies of all battles. General Lee’s army suffered heavy casualties. The War lasted two more years, but Lee’s army could never recover from the defeat at Gettysburg.
