  1. Does sunscreen remove tan? Yes, sunscreen is an important factor in pigmentation, but only one sunscreen does not help reduce pigmentation. Depending on the type of skin, you may need to use medications, UV cream, skin lightening cream, and some treatments. So that you can get rid of pigmentation. Why Do We Tan? Our body is tanned to protect us from the UV rays that pass through the skin cells. Excessive exposure to the sun causes the UV light to invade cells and damage RNA and DNA. Experts say that too much of this can even lead to skin cancer. To curb this, we tan so that the skin gets darkened with a pigment called melanin, which in turn can contain UV rays penetration into our body and cells. Thanks to UV radiation, there can be a heightened melanogenesis, which involves the production of new melanin. Melanocyte cells give birth to the pigment and this helps darken the skin. It absorbs and transforms UV energy into heat. Over time, sunburn disappears as cells with a low surface area of melanin. The darkened skin layer gradually disappears. Do we tan on cloudy days? According to the Skin Cancer Foundation in New York, 80 percent of the sun's UV rays can penetrate clouds. About 80% of the sun's UV rays are reflected by snow, and 17% of UV rays are reflected by sand. Therefore, even on cloudy days, enjoying winter vacation, or sitting under an umbrella, you need sunscreen or UV cream with the right sunscreen factor (SPF). Ultraviolet rays can cause sunburn, sunburn, skin cancer, and skin aging. Is Sun Tan Permanent? As mentioned above, it is not permanent and usually fades over time as the skin rejuvenates and regains its natural color. When we talk about natural tanning, we usually refer to the result of UV radiation from the sun. But of course, many consciously choose to tan their skin with artificial means such as tanning lamps, solariums, and chemicals. This is called a sunless tan. However, excessive UV exposure can damage the skin, cause sunburn, and increase the risk of skin cancer. Sunburn can
