  1. Small Steps Can Make A Big Difference: Water Safety For Young Ones Summer is coming and we all know that pool is the best place to spend time in summer but we cannot deny the dangers associated with it, from a pool to swimming pool supplies anything can be very dangerous for children. Most of the children don’t take it seriously and end up having an injury, most of the children do take the safety instructions seriously but get carried away while enjoying. When it come to young ones, we should be more alert. Parents play a big role in kids water safety. Statistics says, 76% of drowning death in the US each year involved children younger than 5-year-old. And many children below the age of 14 get themselves injured. When it's about safe swimming for the kids you can keep these points in mind.

  2. Be Vigilant: Never takes eyes of your kids. Although the pools are monitored by lifeguards, it also a responsibility of the parents to never keep their kids unmonitored. Lifeguards are appointed to monitor a large number of area, sometimes it may not always possible for them to detect a drowning or accidents, especially of a small child. An unattended child can meet with an accident or can come with the contact of harmful pool supplies. Teach Your Kids Pool rules: As they say, “Charity begins at home”. Tell your kids about the Do’s and Don’t’s of an aquatic facility. Explain to them why it is good to follow rules, even they will understand that following rules are better than spending time in the emergency room. Nowadays many swimming pool services are conducting kids pool safety classes, where they teach water safety for free, you can enroll your kids for that. Teach them these 5 rules: no diving in the shallow end, no running, no pulling other kids under the water, no pushing people in, and no swimming without adult supervision—ever. Start Swim Lessons: You should enroll your kids in swimming lessons at an early age so that he/she can get used to it and will be a good swimmer. One of my friend who runs a pool cleaning service told me that “the kids who learn swimming at an early age are more confident and become a good swimmer.” Swimming is not just for life-saving it adds more fun to the water. Even after taking all the necessary steps to water safety for your kids, you still should never keep your kids unattended in and around the pool. Always remember, no one can take a better care of your kids than you.
