  8. Pokegama Lake Fish Cribs • 48 cribs built and placed • 2009, 9 cribs built to date. • Material donated • 20 volunteers

  9. Adopt –A-CRIB • Donation $10.00

  10. Prairie Lake aerator • Installed and removed

  11. ROCK REEF PROJECT • Installed in Prairie Lake on 3/13/09 • Will be 200’ by 6’ wide 3’ high, 2010 • Name the rock reef • Donation To Rock Fund

  12. BOAT LANDING INFO BOARDS • Updated 18 boards and installed 1 new at campground

  13. HIGH SCHOOL PROJECT • Give back day • 3 teams, 18 boat landings

  14. CLEAN BOATS CLEAN WATERS • Volunteers monitoring boat landings • Distributing informational packets • 144 hours checking landings, checked 316 boats, 247 trailers and the volunteers drove 696 miles

  15. WATER QUALITY MONITORING • Secchi readings • DO and chemical readings

  16. WALLEYE STOCKING • Chetek 26,950, Pokegama 17,710, Prairie 53,680 and Ojaski 20,195

  17. 4th of July Parade in Chetek • Float with crib and various lake signs • Distributed candy to kids

  18. PUBLIC AWARENESS • Numerous articles in Chetek Alert • Channel 18 TV news • Summer Scene • Give back to the community • Boat monitoring • Emails on lake news • Newsletter in tax bill • Website • Billboards • 4th of July Parade • Porta-Potti – Browns Landing

GRANT HISTORY • Summer 2008 applied for $4,000 grant • October 1, awarded grant, $3,000 DNR • $1,000 CLPA matching • Fall of 2008 3 meetings held • Data collected from SME’s • Meeting in Spooner with Lake & River Management Coordinator • Lake Protection plan of 137 pages submitted in April • Letter of support from members • Meg Rattie will discuss plan highlights
