Over dependence on chemical fertilizers and pesticides has created problems in agriculture The Ninth plan document talks of Environmentally sustainable agriculture The Tenth Plan document emphasized the use of bio fertilizers, bio-control agents, organic manures with infrastructure support. Role of organic cultivation following principles of sustainable development is obligatory for Indian agriculture.
