The King and the Cook

The King put on his silver ( 1 ) saying KING as soon as he got up. “Otherwise, people might forget who I am,” he thought.

Today the King was to be the ( 2 ) of a difficult problem. The cook made the most delicious ( 3 ) and peppers in the kingdom. But now she refused to cook anymore. She would not even take out the ( 4 ) after dinner. As the cook packed her ( 5 ), she said good-bye to the King.

And so it came to be that the cook went away. She left the little ( 6 ) where she had lived so long. From then on the King was most unhappy. He would not use the ( 7 ) to cross the river anymore.
