Recently, AmTrust published findings from claims data regarding how New Yorkers are utilizing the new Paid Family Leave benefits, which took effect earlier this year in January. AmTrust’s Paid Family Leave Study Featured in Crain’s New York Recently, AmTrust published findings from claims data regarding how New Yorkers are utilizing the new Paid Family Leave benefits, which took effect earlier this year in January. Joy Maas, Director of Business Development, Marketing Strategy and Account Management at AmTrust, says these findings can help employers prepare for the possibility of intermittent leave, allowing them to establish relationships with temp agencies prior to the departure of the employee. The launch of New York’s Paid Family Leave Act was the nation’s strongest and most comprehensive paid family leave act to date. It provides employees with job-protected, paid leave to bond with a newborn, adopted or foster child, care for a loved one with a serious illness, or tend to family matters when a loved one is called to active military service.
