  1. Introduction Hello! My name is Allyson Meyer and I am a senior here at the U of M. I am originally from Helena, Montana and attended Capital High School. I enjoy traveling and being with the good company of family and friends. I have two younger twin siblings and always loved being the older child. I am excited to become a teacher, and plan to move to Denver when I graduate.

  2. Skydiving: Summer of 2008 Swimming with Dolly the dolphin in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico: Summer of 2006

  3. Interests and Hobbies • I enjoy anything that has to do with Arts and crafts. I’m a creative person and love to make something out of nothing. • I like to play Tennis and Soccer. I’ve been playing these sports ever since I was in grade school. • I am almost always outdoors running, hiking, swimming, or camping.

  4. My trip in Glacier: Summer of 2009

  5. Why do I want to teach? • I want to become a teacher because it is a great feeling to see something click in a students mind. To know that I will be able to make an impact on a child’s life is amazing. I am the type of person that only wants the best for everyone around me, and I will do anything to see it happen.

  6. Goals as a teacher • To further my knowledge everyday and remember that there is always room for improvement. • To eliminate fear out of my classroom. • Always remember that every child learns a different way and at a different pace. • To gain and have trust with each of my students. • Never lose sight of joy, passion, or excitement.

  7. Experience • I have been babysitting a 3 year old child for almost 2 years now. • I have volunteered at Paxson Elementary School and Lolo Elementary School as well, helping out with the first grade classes. • In high school I worked at a daycare for a couple years taking care of children ages 1-6.

  8. Playing at the park with the 3 year old boy that I babysit, Brevan: Summer of 2009
