Other lessons learned l.jpg
Other Lessons Learned supervision and evaluation?

  • Giving feedback, conducting dialogues, and exposing your judgments is time consuming, complex, and can be challenging.

  • Regular collaborative discussions of teacher performance has raised expectations, expanded our common understanding of quality teaching and learning, and supported the practice of providing honest feedback to teachers.

  • The more we work together the more we learn and the better we get at doing this.

A final thought l.jpg
A final thought supervision and evaluation?

“As leader, we must maintain a delicate

balance. At the same time that we

acknowledge the need to increase the quality of

teaching, and indeed the accountability of

teachers, we must also be conscious of the

need to restore teachers’ purpose, passion, and

joy in their work.”

Vicki Phillips, Superintendent, Lancaster School District
