2. Introduction • Uttar Pradesh Combine Agricultural and Technology Entrance Test or UPCATET is conducted every year. This is an entrance exam for students looking for further studies in various fields in agriculture and agricultural technology. As the name suggests, this exam is conducted for universities in the State of Uttar Pradesh. Four universities of Uttar Pradesh participate in these exams. These universities are- • Chandrashekhar Azad University of Agriculture and Technology, Kanpur • Sardar Vallabh Bhai Patel University of Agriculture and Technology, Meerut • Narendra Deva University of Agriculture and Technology, Kumarganj, Faridabad • Banda Unversity of Agriculture and Tecnology, Banda. • On 31st August, the result for UPCATET was announced. • On 3rd September UPCATET counseling started.

3. UPCATET Eligibility Criteria • Nationality • Candidate must be an Indiancitizen.  • All the students applying should have domicile of Uttar Pradesh • Qualification • All the candidates appearing for under graduation courses must have finished 12th with respective subjects and 60% of minimum marks. • All the candidates appearing for post-graduation courses must have done the gradation in their respective field • Bachelor in home science is open only for female students. • AGE • All the applicants applying for undergrad courses should be a minimum of 16 yrs and 22 yrs maximum. The maximum age for the candidates of the SC/ST category appearing for under graduation courses is 27 yrs. • Students appearing for B.VSc&H should be minimum of 17yrs and a maximum of 25 yrs. Candidates of the SC/ST category have a relaxed upper limit of the age bracket. For them, the maximum age is of 30yrs. • .

4. UPCATET SO EXAMSYLLABUS UPCATET SO EXAMPATTERN • AIMA UGAT 2021 syllаbus is exрeсted tSince this is an entrance exam for various courses, the syllabus for each course is different. for undergraduate courses- • PCM – Physics, Chemistry, Maths, and English of 12th Grade level of UP state education board. • PCB – Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English of 12th Grade level of UP state education board. • PAG – General Knowledge, Agriculture Physics, Agricultural Chemistry, Agricultural Zoology, Agricultural Statistics and Maths, English, Animal Husbandry and Dairying, Agronomy, and Botany of 12th Grade level of UP state education board. • PHS – Sociology, Geography, Home Science, Hindi, English, and Economics. • For various post-graduation, the syllabus for different entrance exams is the syllabus of their respective graduation course. • For Ph.D.: Course of post-graduation level in respective subjects. • UPCATET is conducted for the entrance in under graduation, post-graduation, and Ph.D. courses. The exam pattern of all these exams is different.- • There is a single paper exam for the entrance in different courses. • There are 200 questions. Each question is of 3 marks. • There is a negative marking for the wrong answer. • There is no penalty for unanswered questions. • After clearing the exam, candidates then go for counseling. • Counseling is based on a merit list. In this, candidates are given the option of colleges and courses. This is based on their position on the merit list and seats available.

5. UPCATET Admit Card • For UPCATET, exam notification was announced in Feb. The exam was scheduled for 12 and 13th August. The admit cards for UPCATET were uploaded on the official website on 1st August. Following are the details for admit card of the exam- • Admit card is uploaded on the official website of the exam. • Candidates can download the admit card using their registration number and password. • Candidates are responsible for downloading the admit card. • They should paste their passport size photograph on the admit card. • The photo on admit card should be similar to the one uploaded during the filling of the form. • It’s always suggested to get two printouts of the admit card in the case of an emergency. 6. UPCATET Result The result of the UPCATET is announced on the official website. Candidates should log in with their registration number and birthdate. then download the result. Once the merit list is out, the candidates will get further information regarding the counseling dates. For applicants of the MBA course, the date of group discussion is notified on the website itself. For the year 2021, the group discussion will be on 7th September. The venue for the group discussion and timings are announced on the website too. Candidates must make sure to reach the venue on time. Group discussion and personal interviews both are on the same day. Once candidates are done with the group discussion they will move ahead with the personal interview. 7. How to Check the UPCATET Result? • UPCATET Result is always announced on the official website. These results are not published in any newspaper or any educational website. Candidates should log in using their registration number and password. They can also use their date of birth to log in. They can then download the result from the website. Following are the steps to download the result of UPCATET. • Open the official website of UPCATET. • On the home page, there is the announcement that the result of UPCATET is declared. • Candidates should click on the “applicant login” button on the left side of the home page. • Now enter your registration number and password or your birthdate to open the result. • Download the result for future purposes. • Once the result is downloaded, check your merit ranking carefully. This ranking will decide if a candidate will be called for counseling or not. Merit ranking also decides in which counseling list, a candidate will get placed

8. How ToApply? • The application forms for UPCATET 2021 were available online from Feb. 2021. • Forms were available on the official website of UPCATET. • Firstly, candidates should download the information brochure provided on the website. Study the brochure in detail. Confirm the eligibility, types of courses available, and all the documents needed to fill the form. • Candidates would need to upload their photo, signature, and fingerprint of the forefinger of the left hand. • Now, go to the official website of UPCATET and click on new registration. Then, fill in all your details and click “submit”. • You will be then directed to a new page and an OTP will be sent to your mobile phone. • Verify all the details provided by you. If there is an error, click on “back”, go to the previous page and correct the mistake. Now fill in the OTP sent to you and click submit once again. • Filling in OTP verifies your mobile number. Now your registration number will be sent to you on your phone and email.

9. ImportantFAQ Q 1. Who can apply for UPCATET? A. All the students with Physics, chemistry, biology and/or maths, and agriculture science as their subjects in 12th std can apply for UPCATET. Applicants must be a domicile of Uttar Pradesh. They should also fall under the age limit of 16yrs to 22 yrs. The age limit for the applicants of SC/ST category students is 16-27 yrs. Q 2. How can an applicant apply for UPCATET? A. UPCATET exams are held once every year. The exam notification is announced on the official website of the exam.
