  1. Apparel Logistics Supply chain management is now a crucial component of the apparel industry's success. The creation of a strong supply chain management system is therefore top management's main priority

  2. About Apparel Industry At AWL India, managing resources involves moving them from one location to another, one party to another, one department to another, and from one area to another. Resource movement at AWL India is done in a way that ensures the availability of the appropriate resources in the appropriate quantities, at the appropriate times, and where the process costs are lowest. Unlike AWL India, many logistics companies face issues that they are aware of but often do not know how to implement or how to properly prepare for them. Apparel companies should carefully organize their supply chain because they can only succeed with good supply chain management planning. The apparel industry faces intense competition.

  3. Apparel Supply Chain Variants are: • Push: Supply chains that are push-oriented meet the consistent demand for homogenized goods. Given that demand is constant, choices about manufacturing and distribution in this kind of supply chain are based on long-term projections. The supply chain is still push-oriented in many modern apparel companies. Push systems function in a make-to-stock setting. Additionally, the bullwhip effect causes the push supply chain to generate more buffer/safety stock at every supply chain node. • Pull: A pull or make-to-order system typically takes 60 to 90 days to complete an order from beginning to end. This prolonged lead time does not address the main market constraint, which is a prompt reaction to client demand. Due to the difficulty of achieving truckloads or batch production, economies of scale cannot be utilized in a pull strategy either. Product mix proliferation is another drawback. • Push-Pull: In a push-pull strategy, the supply chain segment where long-term estimates have little uncertainty and variability receives the push component. On the other hand, the pull component is used in the area of the supply chain where there is a lot of uncertainty and variability and decisions are only made in response to actual demand.

  4. Supply Chain Challenges • Securing reliable suppliers • Short lead times and on-time delivery • Low MOQ and short pre-production turnaround time • Lack of fashion expertise • Damaged or missing shipment • Lack of transparency • Labor issues •  Poor communication with suppliers •  Multiple middlemen involved in the supply chain •  No single source of truth
