  2. Amazon Web Service Data Migration Service (AWS DMS) is a cloud-based service that is used to migrate databases, data warehouses, and No SQL databases via the CDC feature of AWS. It is also easy to migrate databases from an on-premises server to the cloud, from a cloud-based platform to another similar provider, and even in rare cases, from the cloud to on-premises.

  3. AWS data migrationhelps migrate databases from a target source to AWS seamlessly. During migration, the database at source remains functional and businesses do not have to experience any stoppage of services or downtime. • With AWS data migration, you can also carry out homogeneous migration like Oracle to Oracle or heterogeneous migration from Microsoft SQL Server or Oracle to Amazon Aurora based in the cloud. It can consistently replicate data with high availability to consolidate databases into a data warehouse by streaming data to Amazon S3 and Amazon Redshift. New users of AWS DMS can avail of free services for six months for migrating data to Amazon Redshift, Amazon Aurora, Amazon DynamoDB, or Amazon Document DB. • Migrating databases with AWS is not a difficult and complex process provided the right and advanced cutting-edge tools are used. One is the ETL tool for AWS data migration which is fully automated and does not require any form of human intervention.

Broken down into its components ETL for data integration comprises of the following steps.   • Extract– The required data is mined (extracted) from Homogeneous or Heterogeneous Data sets • Transform – The data so extracted is transformed/modified to the required format to match the storage facility architecture. • Load – Loading or migrating data to the target database that includes Data Marts or Data Warehouse • Considering the above, the ETL tool for AWS data integration is a three-step process. This ensures that the source database remains functional during migration. ·        Affordability – DMS AWS is a low-cost service and payment is only for the volume of computing or storage resources used. ·        Supports commonly used databases – DMS AWS supports the most widely-used databases in open-source or commercial applications ·        Quick setup – A migration activity can be started within minutes in the AWS Management Console and only the parameters have to be defined in the DMS AWS ·        Dependability – DMS AWS continually tracks source and target databases, replication instance, and network connectivity and takes corrective action whenever required during migration. It is for these reasons that AWS data migration is widely used by organizations today.
