  3. Rabindranath Tagore: Rabindranath Tagore was a poet, writer and musician from Bengal who won the Nobel Prize for Literature in 1913 for his work "Gitanjali". He was also a painter, illustrator as well as an artist who used watercolor on paper as his medium. He was also known for his short stories, which are considered classics in Bengali literature today. He also wrote novels including "Gora" (1910) and "Chokher Bali" (1911), which have been adapted into films multiple times.

Aurobindo Aurobindo Ghosh Ghosh: : Aurobindo Ghosh was a poet and philosopher who contributed to India's independence movement through his writings, which were often published in newspapers in British India. He also founded a spiritual organization called Arya Samaj and wrote two volumes of poetry called "Savitri" and "The Future Poetry."

Husain Husain: : Maqbool Fida Husain was an Indian artist who worked in various styles but is known mostly for his paintings of Bharat Mata (Mother India) and the use of Indian mythological characters in his paintings. He also made a significant contribution to the evolution of Indian art by bringing elements of Cubism into India as well as influencing other artists like Jamini Roy, Iqbal Singh and Francis Newton Souza. He was awarded the Padma Vibhushan in 1989 and the Padma Bhushan in 1971 by the Government of India. In 2005 he was awarded the Venice Biennale Golden Lion for Lifetime Achievement.

  6. Ravi Varma: Ravi Varma: Raja Ravi Varma is one of India’s most famous painters who excelled in painting Hindu gods and goddesses on canvas using watercolors. His paintings are displayed prominently in museums around the world, including London’s Victoria & Albert Museum and New York’s Metropolitan Museum Of Art, among other places.

Mira Nair: Mira Nair: A director, producer and screenwriter from India who has received two Academy Awards nominations for her films made in English ('Salaam Bombay' in 1988) and ('Kama Sutra: A Tale of Love' in 1996) in Hindi. She was also the first woman to direct an Oscar-nominated film in any language other than English. She was also nominated for Best Director by the BAFTA Film Awards in 2007 for 'The Namesake.'
