  7. How to troubleshoot when your result takes more time? If you are waiting for your test result, you should know how long Ancestry will take to publish your test result on the website. After collecting the sample, when you mail it to the company, it takes up to five weeks to reach. Once the company gets the DNA sample, they take up to eight weeks to prepare the final result. If you find the status bar on your DNA homepage is incomplete after spending more than five weeks, you should contact Ancestry DNA support. What to do when you find your DNA result is missing? If your DNA homepage or Health dashboard shows ads instead of showing a status bar, kindly ensure that you have logged in with your account associated with the activated test kit. Note that a DNA sample requires up to five weeks to reach Ancestry. After that, Ancestry DNA processes the result in the next eight weeks. After this duration, if you notice your results aren't available on the website or haven't received any email regarding your result, contact Ancestry DNA support.

  8. What to do when you don't get emails from ancestry.com/activate? • First, you have to verify your email address from the Ancestry Account credentials page. Ancestry removes that email address if they send emails and the emails are rejected by the email service provider. You need to make sure whether you are logged in to receive emails or not by visiting the Notifications settings page. Moreover, if you are using the correct email address and also you are logged in to get emails, the problem may be with the email provider. • Go to the spam folder of your email account and look for Ancestry email. • Please ensure that you haven't blocked Ancestry from receiving emails. • Try to keep Ancestry on a safe senders list. • Contact Ancestry or your email provider for more help. • Change your current Ancestry email address with a new one.
