In 1997, the School of Technology and the School of Computer Engineering were established. And in 2004 we were awarded the position of the university and renamed KIIT University.<br><br>

Students stay in hostels throughout their stay at KIIT, regardless of choice. A total of 17 hostels are separate and six are for girls and the rest is for boys. There are different communities in KIIT to choose from depending on the interests and preferences ofthe student. Other major college communities are Qutopia, the Quiz community; Kronicle, Literary Society, Social Responsibility Cell and Korus, Music Society. Kronicle students have never scoredfor various National and International Level students. The Commitment Cell aims to instill a sense of social responsibility in the hearts and minds of all students. The Qutopia interrogation community organizes a national questionnaire, in Udghosh everyyear. The previous Udghosh program was hosted by Vikram Joshi, winner of the World Quizzing Championship. It also runs the annual Intra-University Quiz competition “Launchpad” as part of the admissionprocess. Qtopia is well-known at question-and-answer sessions across the country and has produced questions not only by winning provincial and regional questions, but also at the national and international level, including the prestigious Tata Crucible Campus Quiz, hosted by ace questioner Giri Balasubramanium, and other high-level questions such as the Debasish Das Memorial (DDM) IT Quiz, Sweden India Nobel Memorial Quiz,and Mahindra AQ. The KIIT chapter of the Society for the Promotion of Indian Classical Music And Culture Amongst Youth (SPICMACAY) was established in 2003, promoting traditional Indian music, dance, and culture among the youth and organizing numerous music concerts. Students can join the National Cadet Corps (NCC) and the National Service Scheme (NSS). There are other cultural, literary, and interest communities. Several schools have their communities based on school subjects. The School of Technology, with the Robotic Society, organizes workshops and workshops to expose students to the concept of robots and how they can be built andorganized.
